New season New perspective

Image
So fall is here! Not a favourite season of ours but it’s arrival is non negotiable.  We do however use this change in season as a “reset” or “level up” as our focus. It’s a time when we become a bit more introspective and examine our lives a bit more closely- how can we do better in our relationships, time management, wellness? We even peek ahead to potential future resolutions and “practise” on those.  We are mindful to make steps measurable- no matter how small. In time all those little steps add up to one rung up the ladder.

Good day, fellow influencers .     I’m Dianne , one half of 50s fine.     I am the taller / darker of the 2( and maybe slightly older). We’ve been     posting pictures of outfits we love for nearly 2 years now.     As you may have noticed , we love to shop.!     Since we’ve  convinced ourselves that we’re really good at what we do , we thought we would share our wisdom, and maybe influence others to be trendy in their 50s and beyond.    I want to share my tricks for staying in the game.    Gotta love Pinterest and Instagram for inspiration.    Follow people that look the way you want to look Don’t shy away from trends, most trends can be adjusted to suit any age. To Grey or not to Grey

We recently posted about a moment of doubt we had regarding the decision to go Grey and boy! ... there was some serious conversation. It made us realize that women are very polarized on the issue.  For some grey looks old, for others grey had no impact, skin condition was a bigger determinant. The one truth that came out of all of this is that you are perceived as being older with Grey hair. In other words people automatically assume you are older because of your Grey crown.  We shortly came back to what motivated us to stop colouring in the first place .... make the decision that sits well with your core belief .....and there is no harm in changing your mind if that core belief changes over time

Friends... welcome to our blog. Many of you have been journeying with us on Instagram so now we’re so excited to continue reaching out to you.  For starters, we are Karian and Dianne.  Dianne is the mother of five  adult children and also grandmother of three. She is passionate about mental health promotion as she watches the steady decline in her mom’s own health as a result of Alzheimer’s. Needless to say Karian is the shorter of the two. She’s the mother of two adults and a teenager. She encourages a lifestyle built around fitness and nutrition.  We both share a love for fashion and a desire to look our best in our fifties and beyond and to inspire mature ladies along in this journey.
