New Obsession...... chunky and combat boots






 Lately, we've become obsessed with chunky and combat style boots.  The funny thing is these boots were no where on our radar a couple years ago.  Infact we would have thought anyone was crazy for even suggesting them to us.  In our minds they represented the hippy, ultra trendy millennials and we were not about to touch that league

Then one day everything changed.....we bought our first pair and I think it's safe to say we had the biggest revolution in our fashion history. We are in love with combat boots in almost every colour and variety.  For starters they are amazingly comfortable and they instantly inject fresh life into an outfit.  Fashion and comfort can actually coexist. Not to mention no one would ever guess you’re wearing the toastiest socks. 

As with stepping into the waters of new fashion territory black is the safest colour to begin with, but for those who are a little less timid white is a fantastic option and yes even in the winter,  From there on any pop of colour can be added. P.S. please don't forget animal print is a neutral. Who knew that Cybill Shepherd was decades ahead in this fashion trend! 

The best way to style combat boots is to show them off in their entirety  In other words don't allow them to be hidden by your clothes....then they blend in as a regular shoe or boot   The reason that combat boots are so awesome is that they go with skirts, dresses, jeans and even shorts. It’s a welcome surprise to juxtapose them with the most feminine dress. Who knew that Cybill Shepherd was decades ahead in this fashion trend

 So spring is officially upon us......although some days the temperature makes us feel otherwise.  Regardless of what the thermometer might read there are some things that need to be making their way out of our closets at this very minute.  1.  There is no shortage of occasions where we hear our friends or even ourselves list countless things we don’t like about ourselves. It may be something as simple as looking through some pictures, looking in the mirror or listening to our voicemail that evoke these self loathing comments.
