WHATS TRENDING

We are now two months into the new year so we've had a chance to see what colors are trending for 2021. The good news is that color trends are no longer as narrowly defined as they used to be.... there seems to be a lot of wiggle room when it comes to staying current with our color choices.  Having said that here are some of the color trending in the fashion world.

1.The  MONOCHROMATIC look....The ideas here is taking one colour and wearing it from head to toe to including your handbag, shoes and accessories even makeup. We realize the thought of pulling this look off may be intimidating to some so maybe consider layering with a neutral piece which you can put aside in the warmer months by which time monochromatic  dressing may be a bit less intimidating.

2. Going along with the monochromatic look is PASTELS  ....lavenders, mintgreen, babyblues, lilac.  What was traditionally thought of as colors for spring and summer is also dominating winter wardrobes.  Again these colours are carried through from head to toe. We must admit light coloured shoes is quite a departure from our norm but we're adventureous

3.PINK PINK PINK..pink is standing out from all the other colours this season. This colour is not just limited to clothing but carries right through to shoes handbags accessories and makeup.  The whole range  of pink hues are included, from saturated fuchsias to pale lavenders. There is a shade of pink to go with every skin tone.

4.Right after pink YELLOW is also very much on trend. The range goes from the deepest almost neons right to the softest pastels. If you're not a fan of the monochromatic look grey is a great compliment to any shade of yellow.

We're thinking these color trends are so refreshing given the year that passed.  We are all eager to inject some vibrance to our lives and colour is the easiest way to do so.
